Mick McMahon sold An artist whose career mirrors"When I first started reading 2000 AD comics, in the 1980s, my favourite character by far was the Celtic warrior, Sline and my favourite artist to draw him was Mick. His ink illustrations seemed to be carved out of stone and there was a tremendous strength and gravity to it all. To me, his work on the Sline story Sky Chariots is one of the most beautiful and astonishing comic works ever committed to paper."
